Given the inevitable globalization of business
in general, we recognized the urgent requirement for a comprehensive
and affordable international business travel and expatriate
insurance product, which proactively responds to any organization's
essential business needs.
In providing adequate coverage for their employees sent overseas, including areas categorized as high-risk
(war-risk) areas, CFS has partnered with a major specialty insurance carrier to build and deliver, to the
corporate and not-for-profit industries, such an insurance product.
The result – the CFS International Travel and Expatriate Insurance
Program not only addresses the obvious business goals listed
previously, it provides for the easiest available administration:
•
Straightforward request for quote process with minimum information
required.
• No individual medical evidence
requirements.
• Only 1 employer administration form to
be completed at the onset.
• Only 1 notice of employee travel form
to be completed for each travel/expatriate posting.
• Only 1 employer point of contact.
• Pay-as-you-go (daily or monthly)
basis. No advance deposit. No annual reconciliation.
The CFS International Travel and Expatriate
Insurance Program distinguishes between two main member groupings –
the international traveler and the expatriate. Notwithstanding, the
program is also able to respond to the needs of other defined
members, such as independent consultants, students, visitors from
overseas (inpatriates), etc.
The international traveler is defined as traveling for a short
period of time (up to 60 days). Available coverage (single or
family) to the international traveler is as follows.
• Accidental
Death & Dismemberment (war-risk included)
• Emergency Medical and Medical
Evacuation (war-risk included)
The expatriate is defined as living abroad for a period of 60 days
or more. Available coverage (single or family) to the expatriate
member is as follows.
• Basic Life
and Dependent Life (coverage optional at the employer level)
• Accidental Death & Dismemberment
(war-risk included)
• Short-Term Disability (war-risk
included)
• Long-Term Disability (war-risk
included)
• Medical and Medical Evacuation
(war-risk included)
• Dental (war-risk included) (optional
at the employer level)
